16 Mar 2018 WASP-173 A is the brighter component of the binary star WDS23366-3437. The two components have V = 11.3 and 12.1 and are separated by 6 arcsecs (Hellier et al. 2019). The secondary component, a mid G dwarf (spT G4V), lies 1442 AUs away (Michel & Mugrauer 2024).
