An L-type brown dwarf companion (HD 89744 B, spT L0.5V, m = 0.076 MSol) lies 2,456 AUs away (Mugrauer et al. 2005). An additional low-mass companion (HD 89744 C, m = 0.08 MSol) is likely located at 219 AUs (Roberts et al. 2011, Scholz 2016, Fontanive et al. 2019).
