DoAr 21 forms an eccentric binary system with an M dwarf companion star (a ∼ 0.536 AUs, P ∼ 92.92 ± 0.02 d, e = 0.391). An extended asymmetric ring structure with an inclination of about 81° is detected ∼73-219 AU away from the central star.
